Our Services

How We Help:

  • The Interfaith Hospitality Network provides homeless women and families with shelter, food and other basic necessities. Local congregations open their doors and provide beds, hospitality and three nutritious meals a day, 365 days a year. Homefirst shelter staff work one on one with each family to work towards stable housing. (908) 753-4001 x 11

  • Our Transitional Housing Program moves families from our Interfaith Hospitality Network into a safe, stable home for a period of 12 months. Families also receive support services necessary to stabilize the family and assist them to move into permanent housing with the necessary skills to live independently. Homefirst also offers SAFE transitional homes for families affected by domestic violence. (908) 753-4001 x 16

  • Permanent Supportive Housing is available to serve families and individuals who are struggling with a disability and who are also homeless. Those who live in these housing units are offered case management and a full array or support services. (908) 755-2054

  • For families and individuals who are seeking affordable housing we offer Permanent Housing. These safe and affordable units are currently small in number but will be growing in the upcoming years. (908) 755-2054

  • Case Management is the infrastructure for delivering effective services that will facilitate positive growth and development in people and the achievement of personal goals. Individualized case management ensures clients work to find solutions to their particular obstacles. Case managers assist individuals in filing for appropriate government assistance, obtaining job skills, acquiring a stable housing solution and increasing self-determination.

  • Additional Social Services:
Homefirst provides additional social services to individuals and families that offer support and enrichment activities. Rental and Utility assistance is offered to our community (908) 753-4001 x 16. Services for people living with HIV/AIDS are also available at Homefirst (908) 755-2054. These vital programs and services help ensure overall success by facilitating and building self-sufficiency skills, community, and a stronger sense of well being.
