donate

We invite you to support Homefirst and our work to end homelessness by providing safe, affordable housing. No gift is too small. Every gift is greatly appreciated by Homefirst and by those who are helped by your generosity.

Sustainable Funding

Our goal is to raise sustainable funding, that means having the operating expenses needed to run our organization covered at the beginning of each fiscal year. That allows us to concentrate on the real business at hand – providing shelter, affordable housing and the basic resources for self-reliance.

With sustainable funding, nonprofits and their donors see an exponential increase in output, productivity, and the ability to continue meeting the needs of the community. Sustainable funding through individual multiple year pledges, allows us to make your precious dollars work harder and smarter.

Choose how to give

Donate stock

Donating appreciated stock can be a cost-effective way to make a gift to Homefirst. If you itemize your tax return, you may receive a charitable deduction for the value of your stock and may not have to pay capital gains on the appreciated value.

Planned Gifts

Estate and financial planning allows you to make contributions to the program of your choice, while potentially benefiting your tax situation at the same time. As a donor you can be assured your assets will not diminish in value during your lifetime and you may even benefit through a life-income plan.

Planned gifts fall into three categories: gifts that provide the donor with income, gifts that provide Homefirst with income, and gifts with retained use. We would be happy to discuss each of those with you.

To discuss a donation of stock or a planned gift, please contact Susan Olyroyd Laffler.
